Headed by Carol Lumbard, Cookies Kitchen educate and entertain hundreds of young people every year. With a experienced team alongside Carol, Cookies Kitchen offer an unrivalled experience.
Born in Kent but raised in Norfolk Carol was drawn back to her roots by her love of Kents rolling hills and the orchards of her cousins farm in Horsmonden. When not in the kitchen Carol can be found walking her crazy black Springador, Jasmine through the farm, usually scrumping fruit or foraging in the vast hedgerows.
Carol has an extensive history and natural interest in cooking. Starting at an early age, Carol grew up in a corner shop run by her parents. From a young age Carol remembers bagging potatoes to earn her pocket money!
Carol believes that food and cooking brings people together. Her parents worked long hours during the week, Sundays were always a family day, Carol would spend quality time in the kitchen with her mother baking and preparing meals, such as the classic Sunday roast! Home cooking was at the heart of every meal time, there was never a ready meal and school packed lunches always included a slice of homemade cake.
From this background, she has had an extensive and varied career working with young children and in the catering industry, bringing the two together made Cookies Kitchen a natural progression for her. There is nothing Carol enjoys more than sharing her knowledge, educating young people on the values of food, a healthy diet and using ethical, locally sourced ingredients.
If your child has a passion for food, Cookies Kitchen can offer them a fun and enjoyable experience whilst educating them in the culinary world.
