Our new term has already started but it’s not too late to join, take at look at what’s still to come…..
Cookies Kitchen are so excited to finally bring our monthly cookery clubs to our school in Norwich. Our monthly clubs give our young chefs the opportunity to get really hands on in the kitchen, every month they will learn new kitchen skills, exploring new foods and flavours and become more confident cooks. Our cooks will bring home their tasty dishes to share and a wipe clean recipe card so that they can make their favourite recipes all over again.
We are about much more than cakes too, we believe that our cooks do a lot of baking at home (or with Grandma!) so we limit our sweet recipes to once a term as we want to broaden our cooks food horizons and encourage them to try new foods and we believe the best way to do this is to get them cooking!

Saturday 1st February – Lemon Meringue Pie
Every term we like to include at least one recipe that includes seasonal ingredients and every website says that lemons and all things citrus are in season in the early part of the year although I’m not sure that they are growing in our back gardens! Anyway, it seems a good excuse for this popular recipe!
Saturday 7th March
With St Patrick’s day just around the corner we are adding a bit of Irish charm into our March recipe. We’ll be making traditional colcannon and malted bread to mop it up with. This bread recipe is a little more technical than we have made in class before and requires a second prove so it will need to be popped in the oven when our cooks get home.
